About Chair Yoga Level 2

Level 2 chair yoga is a more advanced chair class. It is a supportive class designed to improve mobility, strength, balance and flexibility in a safe and accessible way. Using a chair as a prop, we move through a combination of seated and standing postures, making yoga approachable for a wide range of abilities. 

The chair provides stability and support throughout the class, whether you are sitting or standing, helping you feel confident and secure in each movement. The chair is used for support during standing and balancing poses. Balancing poses offer far more than the ability to stand on one legin a yoga class – they develop skills that transfer directly into everyday life. 

Physically, balance poses strengthen the small stabilising muscles in the feet, ankles, legs and hips, which play a key role in walking, climbing stairs, stepping off kerbs and navigating uneven ground. Improved balance and coordination can reduce the risk of falls and help you move with greater confidence and ease in daily activities.

Everyone works within their own boundaries and at their own pace. One of the best things about yoga is that it is an individual experience. It is an exercise that brings with it a settled mind and an inner balance that everyone can benefit from.We will encorporate some breathing practices , yoga poses and relaxation/ meditation in the class.

Prior to your first class there will be a consultation form to complete to ensure your safety whilst participating.
