Why an oncology massage?
Cancer patients not being permitted to receive a massage treatment is a thing of the past. Previous ideologies cited that massage could spread cancer, but there is absolutely no evidence of this. Massage boosts wellbeing. It calms and relaxes clients and is said to benefit people with cancer hugely.
Oncology massage is a gentle treatment designed around the client’s specific needs that may arise from their health situation. It can happen at any point during a person’s cancer journey – during and after any treatment phases, whilst in remission and can be especially invaluable alongside palliative care.
